We are seeking a Mid-Level RPA Developer to help build automation solutions for our clients using our proprietary automation software. You will work closely with the clients to streamline their processes and enhance efficiency by designing, developing, and deploying automated workflows. In addition to working on client projects, you will have the opportunity to provide feedback and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our in-house automation software, playing a direct role in shaping the tools you’ll be using. Design & Development : Develop and implement automated workflows using our proprietary automation platform and Microsoft Fabric. Process Analysis : Analyse existing processes to identify automation opportunities, assess technical feasibility, and determine the best automation solutions. Collaboration : Work with solution architects, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver automation projects that meet business needs. Contribute to stand-ups and sprints. Testing & Troubleshooting : Conduct end-to-end testing, troubleshoot automation scripts, and ensure that automation solutions are robust, scalable, and reliable. Maintenance & Support : Maintain and update existing automation workflows, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and provide support for deployed automations. Documentation : Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, process flows, and troubleshooting guides. Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest RPA trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the automation processes and solutions. Location

Hybrid, 2-3 days in the Runcorn office. The only requirement on location is that you can commute to the office comfortably. Team

The candidate will be part of our Product Development team, which is made up of 3 cohorts, with 10 staff members in total. On a day-to-day basis they would collaborate with members of their cohort and report to the Technical Project Manager. Must haves - for the RPA Developer

2+ years experience in

RPA

Development Strong experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) Experience with development processes (scrum/agile/sprints/stand-ups) Basic IT skills (could independently troubleshoot laptop issues, connect to VPNs, etc.) Experience communicating with customers or non-technical colleagues can comfortably translate non-technical to technical and vice versa. Nice to haves, for the RPA Developer

Experience with PowerBI Experience with Microsoft Fabric / Databricks / Azure Synapse Analytics Experience with React / Retool Interest in tech news. General Characteristics & Values

Enjoys problem-solving – understands/interest in how to design and architect a solution, rather than just knowing how to program. Determination to fully complete a solution. Cares about the work they’re doing. Suited to working for a small business. Comfortable using a range of programming languages and technologies, including ones they’ve never been exposed to before. Needs to be versatile – as automation specialists we offer a wide range of solutions, so needs to be willing to work on a variety of different project types. Keen to learn new things – we’re constantly reviewing and updating the different technologies we’re using, so should be open to learning new things. Enjoys collaborating with the team – doesn’t just want to code all day without any communication. Enjoys customer-facing work including working on projects and gathering requirements. Good at working independently when required, but asks for help when needed.
