Service Onboarding Manager
is responsible for ensuring that services are successfully brought into operational support through a comprehensive system of quality assurance checks and measures. These processes are developed and maintained in alignment with operational support leads and customer requirements. The role also involves fostering effective collaboration among Service Operations, delivery teams, and customers to deliver supportable, high-quality services. Key Responsibilities Bring services into operational support using quality assurance frameworks aligned with operational leads. Define project delivery requirements through available tools to establish clear objectives for project teams. Assist project teams in meeting onboarding requirements, ensuring that authorized documents include sufficient detail for Service Operations. Collaborate with program management, service lines, and customers to ensure the delivery of quality, supportable service products. Respond to feedback from Service Operations to address required changes for live operation. Document and maintain progress on onboarding objectives throughout the project lifecycle. Plan for Service Operations, including tooling, skills, staffing, and resource volumes. Create and maintain criteria to support effective solution development. Key Skills Leadership skills to guide discussions and achieve supportable service objectives. In-depth knowledge of service operations and support functions. Ability to understand and analyze complex deliverables and requirements, engaging appropriate teams effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and overcome obstacles in delivery. Pragmatic approach to aligning service design with operational and customer priorities. Expertise in unifying diverse operational teams under a single, coherent approach. Required Qualifications and Skills Essential: Detailed knowledge of service delivery concepts and techniques. Strong operational understanding of service supply chains. Experience in service delivery and operational support for major IT systems. Proven ability to ensure deliverables are met and maintain accountability. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior executives. Self-motivated with excellent objective-setting and leadership abilities. Problem-solving and mediation skills. Desirable: ITIL v3 or v4 certification. Experience in service onboarding for major IT systems. Background in service design and management. Relevant experience that translates into strong service management capabilities. Additional Information The role involves standard Criminal Records checks to meet contractual obligations with clients. Additional background checks may be required for certain customers.
