Organic Analyst & Senior Analyst, GC/MS Location:
Cambridge Salary:
£26,000 - £28,000 Dependant on experience
Role Responsibilities:
Conducting regular/daily GC test work (GC FID & GC/MS), whilst maintaining and calibrating the instruments. Assisting in the generation of accurate and timely sample and QC data in line with client expectations and our clients' Quality Systems. Running instrumentation for sample testing. Assisting in maintenance programmes for the Department's specific analytical instrumentation and any other analytical equipment used by the Department. Ensuring that instruments are kept in a clean and serviceable condition and that routine in-house maintenance procedures are kept up to date. Maintaining, storing, and labelling adequate stocks of reagents and standards. Consulting with the Divisional Manager when turnaround deadlines cannot be met. Person Specification:
Will hold a Degree in a relevant Chemistry-based discipline. Will have GC-FID experience (general Gas Chromatography experience will be considered; we are looking for someone who has commercial lab experience working to QMS like UKAS 17025 or GLP/GMP/BRC) or GC/MS experience.
