Next week We are seeking a

Safeguarding and Mental Health Officer

to join our Student Support Team on a part-time basis (3 days a week). This role involves triaging safeguarding and wellbeing referrals, managing a caseload of students, and providing vital support for those facing mental health and safeguarding challenges. Why Join Us? Respond to safeguarding concerns and provide timely intervention for learners at risk. Implement wellbeing interventions for students facing mental health and welfare issues. Referral and Collaboration:

Use college referral systems to connect students with external agencies like the Early Help and Safeguarding Hub, local authorities, and mental health services. Case Management and Record-Keeping:

Manage a caseload of students, ensure all interventions are well-documented, and provide regular reports on cases. Essential Requirements: Experience in safeguarding, mental health, or student welfare, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication and organisational skills. Compassionate, non-judgmental approach to supporting students. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage a caseload.
