Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safeguarding and Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Student Support and Wellbeing (SSWI) team. This fixed-term maternity cover role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital support to students, ensuring their welfare and safety while fostering their personal development and resilience. Your Responsibilities Will Include
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting students with safeguarding and wellbeing concerns, enabling them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential. Key responsibilities include: Acting as the first response to safeguarding and welfare referrals, ensuring students receive timely support through triage, signposting, and intervention. Collaborating with curriculum staff, external agencies, and social workers to develop action plans and ensure effective transitions for vulnerable students. Supporting students experiencing mental health challenges, coordinating with internal and external resources to address their needs. Leading on a key safeguarding aspect, attending external partnership meetings, and delivering regular safeguarding training to staff. Maintaining accurate records of interventions and contributing to the monitoring and reporting of student progress. Why Join Us?
