BCP Civic Job Introduction An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the new BCP Safeguarding Children Partnership as its Manager. The Safeguarding Children Partnership (SCP) has a role in coordinating and ensuring the effectiveness of local arrangements to safeguard and promote the welfare of children across BCP. BCP Council, NHS Dorset, and Dorset Police are all equally accountable for the partnership, so you’ll need to be comfortable working with our partners as well as with children, young people, and their families. You’ll have demonstrable experience of setting and delivering clear priorities and standards and of working within a multi-agency setting, being confident working at all levels on strategic priorities. Your background in safeguarding will ensure that the partnership meets its statutory duties and ensure the effective coordination of the partnership’s responses to child safeguarding practice reviews and monitoring any actions identified, for the partnership or the individual agencies. This post is hybrid, requiring some in-person and onsite attendance where necessary. Consideration can also be given to part-time working to fulfill this role as well as flexible working arrangements.
