Job Title: Safeguarding Lead Salary: £22,107 to £25,226 Per Annum Location: Bournemouth Job Type: Full Time / Permanent Start date: Immediate / April Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students, staff, and families? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join a local school based in Bournemouth as a Safeguarding Lead immediately. An April start is also possible. About the Role: As a Safeguarding Lead, you will play a key part in providing support and guidance while safeguarding the welfare of all members of our community. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert safeguarding support to staff, students, and families. Oversee and manage safeguarding concerns and reports in line with policy and procedures. Work closely with external agencies, parents, and carers to promote child welfare and safety. Offer advice and guidance on safeguarding best practices to staff and leadership. Assist with the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and training. Support families and students by providing effective liaison and advocacy. We are looking for someone who: Has a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and practices. Is passionate about protecting children and vulnerable individuals. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Has experience working within a school or educational setting (preferred, but not essential). Is empathetic, resilient, and able to handle sensitive and complex situations. Qualifications and Experience: Experience in a safeguarding or family support role is highly desirable.
