OH Medical seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Engineer to join our client's team. This role will involve optimising the effort devoted to safety assurance, to balance safety against the lethal attributes of complex missile and defence systems. A full-time permanent position, offering hybrid working, with 3 days per week onsite in Stevenage and 2 days working from home. Responsibilities Thorough understanding and experience of how the hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes integrate with the system engineering process. Ability to deliver Safety Case Reports and the supporting information (Hazard Analysis, Functional Failure Analysis, FTA, etc). Demonstrable knowledge of, and experience in, the application of UK and International safety and system engineering processes, especially Def Stan 00-056. Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and the associated safety issues (other engineering subject areas, such as design, software, manufacture, etc, will be considered for candidates with the right strengths in other areas). Requirements A degree in Engineering or a related field is essential. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience or knowledge in International safety and system engineering processes, especially Def Stan 00-056.
