The Role You’ll join the Safety Services Group, where you will own and deliver tasks that ensure submarines and submariners go to sea safely. What you’ll do: Safety Case Management: Provide support to Submarine Safety Case management processes. Technical Documentation: Author technical documentation related to safety matters. Innovation: Develop new safety innovations to enhance submarine availability and risk management. Safety legislation: Oversee compliance with safety legislation, such as Defence Safety Authority (DSA) regulations. Hazard Management: Implement Hazard Management and Hazard Identification and Analysis (HIA) techniques to identify and mitigate risks. What you’ll need: Degree qualified or equivalent in a STEM discipline Passionate about developing career in safety engineering and willingness to undertake training and accreditation as part of continuous professional development Demonstrable experience working within safety engineering is considered an advantage Excellent communications skills and experience of stakeholder management A drive to own and shape your career development journey We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can demonstrate relatable experience and a great attitude then we would like to hear from you. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
