White Raven Resourcing Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent recruitment services.

Due to continued growth, our client is currently recruiting a SHE Officer for our Surfacing and Civil Engineering Projects.

The role will involve assisting with the efficient and effective management of the functions of Safety, Health and Environmental issues within Surfacing and Civil Engineering sites.

The successful candidate will be based out of our client's Head Office in Magherafelt.

Requirements The successful candidate will be tasked with: Assisting with the compilation and implementation of Health and Safety policies and procedures. Ensuring the effective maintenance and improvement of the Integrated Management system in relation to the OHSAS45001 and 14001 standards. Conducting risk assessments associated with construction site activities. Ability to negotiate with statutory authorities. Conducting workplace audits and presenting findings. Detailed investigations and reporting of accidents/incidents. Coordinating and accompanying contractor/end user/client auditors on operational visits. Visiting sites to ensure that employees/subcontractors are adhering to all health and safety requirements. Promoting a positive health and safety culture whilst recommending new initiatives for continuous improvement. Undertaking Visible Felt Leadership visits with the Site Management team. Coordinating the availability of persons and facilities to ensure managers, supervisors, and employees attend and complete identified training. Identifying improvement activities and training needs and giving feedback of findings to managers and Compliance Manager. Assisting in the delivery of training when possible. Advising managers on compliance. Monitoring staff to ensure compliance. Assisting the company in reviewing and implementing all the necessary RAMS documentation in line with their third-party contract requirements. Carrying out any other reasonable request made by line manager to support departmental or company objectives.
