Salaried GP

Start date: negotiable. Number of sessions: 6-8. Practice population: 30,000. Salary: on application Sessional rate: on enquiry. Annual leave: 6 weeks pro rata pa. Study leave: 4 days pro rata pa. THC is a large general practice formed from the merger of three of the town’s practices in 2017. It operates from two purpose-built sites in the town. We have a happy and cohesive doctor team that we are looking to expand. THC is part of the Trowbridge Network & benefits from close working relationships with the other practice in town. The medical staff are superbly aided by the rest of the primary care team: Nursing & HCA team – treatment room, chronic disease management, phlebotomy. On the day team – nurse practitioners, paramedics. Transforming Care of the Elderly (TCOP) team – visiting paramedic, pharmacists, care coordinators, frailty nurse. Network Team – primary care mental health nurses (prescribing), first contact physios, prescribing team, dieticians, social prescribers & care co-ordinators. We have close working relations with the Community Team & Hospice Services. The THC site benefits from an excellent Doctors Admin Room. This is a place to work, meet your colleagues and for communication (both clinical & non-clinical). We are a long-established training practice (ST & medical students). Other highlights: the home visiting commitment is light, regular education meetings – in house & external speaker, document management team – fewer scans assigned to doctors, designated secretary, great managers, clinical trials. The practice is as IT centric as it can be – Systm1, Ardens templates, Digidictate and Cinapsis. We would expect a pro rata commitment in duty surgeries.
