A 4-session salaried GP on a Long term contract, which will include a break clause on in line with NHS England guidance for the recruitment of GPs funded by the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme. Starting salary will be on £8,000 per session. The successful candidate will be issued with a BMA model contract including CPD.
Applicants must not have been substantively employed as a GP in a general medical practice previously.
The GP cannot be beyond their 2nd anniversary of certificate of completion of training, issued by the GMC, at the start of their employment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic & dedicated GP to join our team. We are an outstanding teaching practice and received commendation from the University of Liverpool due to the level of teaching provided. This role would be ideally suited to a doctor who has recently completed their CCT.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to undertake all the normal day-to-day duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
Mixed-media (telephone, F2F) sessions for patient contact, both same day and LTC/planned care where appropriate
Visiting patients at home
Ordering repeat prescriptions
Manage pathology results for tests generated through patient contacts in a shared capacity with all other doctors.
Support the triage process for all patient-led demand
Contribute to clinical admin including evaluating, actioning and processing hospital correspondence and results. This includes ordering appropriate tests and ensuring safety netting and follow up. You will contact the patient to complete tasks where this is required.
Pay attention to appropriate coding, note-keeping and flagging of any system issues as they arise
Raise safeguarding concerns with named leads where appropriate
Making onward referrals
Awareness of and compliance with practice policies/guidelines, including but not restricted to data protection, QOF, health and safety and prescribing.
Attending training, meetings and events organised by the practice or other agencies, when appropriate

A high standard of medical care to the registered population
Keep up to date with new guidance
All services under the GMS contract
Prescribing whilst adhering to local and national guidance
Commit to supporting continuity where this is clearly best for the patient
Management of long-term conditions
Liaising with all staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
Preparing and completing your revalidation process
Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
Attending practice meetings as required
Having good knowledge whilst adhering to practice protocols and policies
Completing admin tasks in a timely manner. Admin tasks include referrals and ordering repeat prescriptions
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
Participate in the review of significant events, near-miss events and complaints
Meet targets for QOF as part of your day-to-day role
Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) of the QOF
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Participate in initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care where required
Compliance with the appraisal process
Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
