Glen Mor Medical Practice Fort William Health Centre, Camaghael, Fort William. PH33 7AQ We are looking for an enthusiastic, progressive team player on a salaried basis covering 6-7 sessions per week (negotiable for the right candidate). You will have the potential to develop within our innovative, forward-thinking, and friendly partnership. There is no Out of Hours commitment, but shifts are available locally. Annual leave - 6 weeks plus public holidays (plus 1 week study leave). Our GP IT systems are Vision and Docman. Salary depending on experience within BMA salaried doctor pay scale. Closing date for applications 31st March 2025, with a view to start date June 2025. We are a 4 partner & 2 salaried GP practice with experienced ANP, Practice Nurses, and HCA making up the clinical team serving a rural population of over 5600 patients of Fort William and surrounding areas. District nurses, First Contact Physio, Pharmacy Support Team, Primary Care Mental Health Workers, and Community Link Worker are attached to the practice. The practice is based in a modern purpose-built Health Centre which is shared with 2 other practices and Health Board services such as physiotherapy, OT, CMHT, and Macmillan nursing. The Belford Hospital is a consultant-run hospital serving the town and surrounding area; our main specialty referral hospital is Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. The practice has a strong education ethos with GP Registrar training, FY2 doctors, and ScotGem students and is supportive of new GPs and those wishing to develop their special interests and offers mentoring to salaried GPs. The Practice is a welcoming and supportive place to work. The GPs meet daily at 9am-9.30am, including a weekly journal club which contributes to CPD. Weekly meetings with district nurses and monthly meetings with MacMillan and Psychiatry teams are conducted. We aim to work hard but have a good work/life balance.
