Aim/Purpose of Job: To be responsible for the management of new and existing accounts, ensuring that agreed budgets are achieved and all potential for additional growth is satisfied. To meet sales targets set by the Sales Director and ensure that customer requirements are communicated and adhered to. To identify opportunities for new packaging formats within the marketplace and liaise with both the sales and technical teams to develop new potential products. To establish and maintain relevant approvals with retailers associated with the named house accounts, working closely with the Sales Director in these areas to identify new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will lead the account development and penetration strategy for assigned customers or regions. They should be skilled at building and maintaining relationships with clients and work to provide exceptional customer service to clients. Main Duties & Tasks: Manage a portfolio of accounts Develop positive relationships with clients Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to clients in a timely manner Maintain regular contact with specific customers in the UK and European regions and troubleshoot in areas if required Provide marketing/sales/product information to existing/potential customers via the telephone, computer, post, or in person Provide an important link between the sales and technical teams and have a good understanding of the production processes for all relevant accounts. Identify and target business development opportunities in both home and export markets. Visit existing/potential customers to make presentations to maintain, enhance or gain business Negotiate new price structures for both new and existing customers Work with the Sales Director to forecast customers' anticipated spend for the year and produce budgeting information Investigate/analyze shortfalls in individual customer expenditure Liaise closely with Internal Sales Manager and internal sales coordinators to ensure customer deadlines/requirements are met Produce all internal documentation and reports as required by the Sales Director from time to time Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing information. Undertake all Hygiene, Quality, and Environmental responsibilities to ensure that company standards are met and surpassed Introduce and maintain safe working systems to ensure personnel are kept free from injury and operations are safe and efficient Work within government and company Equal Opportunities Policy and practices and report any deviations Work in accordance with all company environmental management requirements, taking reasonable care for the protection of the environment through your own acts/omissions and report any opportunities for improving environmental targets Work within government and Company Health & Safety policies and practices and report any deviations Be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities and may be asked to perform other duties that correspond to the general character of the position and are commensurate with its level of responsibility Ability to travel across the UK and Europe where required Self-motivated Assertive and self-confident Willingness to work to a flexible schedule Professional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Able to facilitate and participate in group meetings Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image Confidentiality and discretion Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred, specifically within Packaging or FMCG. Understanding of sales performance metrics. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
