Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales through effective communication and exceptional service. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, assisting them in their purchasing decisions, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Duties Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide tailored assistance. Sell products by effectively communicating features and benefits to customers. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales. Maintain an organised sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked. Handle customer inquiries via phone or in-person with excellent phone etiquette. Process transactions accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment. Keep up-to-date with product knowledge to provide informed recommendations. Skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse clientele. Excellent organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Basic maths skills for accurate transaction processing. A proactive approach to selling, including the ability to upsell products when appropriate.
