Seasonal Part Time Crew Mate (Seasonal Part Time Sales Associate) Department:
Retail Reports To:
Captain (Store Manager)/First Mate (Assistant Manager)/Second Mate (Management Trainee) Overview: Responsible for assisting the management team in driving sales through exceptional customer service. Ensures the customer experience, supports our brand promise (“Every Day Should Feel This Good”) and makes service a top priority. Functions & Responsibilities:
Generate Sales: - Responsible for meeting their goals/measures - Develops and maintains relationships with top customers - Supports in-store event sourcing and execution Customer Experience: - Ensures the store reflects Shep & Ian’s vision of “Every Day Should Feel This Good” to our customers through “Hosting the Party” - Leads the store in email capture and educating new associates on best practices - Ensures the customer wish list is always current with customers being notified when product arrives. Crew Development: - Assists with training new associates - Helps foster a welcoming, fun, encouraging and energetic crew and customer environment - Helps in recruiting and referring top talent for the store’s teams - Supports store and team-building activities with the management team Operations: - Maintains efficient merchandise controls - Maintains loss prevention awareness at all times - Helps maintain a clean and tidy store environment Merchandising: - Helps to maintain merchandising as it pertains to company standards, current compass (floorset), and brand initiatives - Contributes to weekly product feedback Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills - Team focused, confident, and professional - Creative, adaptable, entrepreneurial and driven by integrity - Strong verbal and written skills - Ability to perform effective selling techniques to achieve sale and repeat business - Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, weekends - A passion for making people happy - Excited to help recruit, train, motivate, and inspire as a large piece of your day-to-day responsibilities - Accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback - Positive outlook - Excited to get to know our product inside and out in order to offer style advice and help customers - Outgoing, friendly & personable with a positive attitude - Customer Service-oriented experience preferred but not necessary - Passion for the vineyard vines brand Physical Requirements:
Stand and/or move around for extended periods of time Reach, carry, bend, and climb ladders occasionally Lift up to 40 pounds, unless an accommodation is requested
