showroom-based sales consultant

to join its friendly team in the Oxfordshire store located at the Banbury head office. The hours are 9am to 5pm and include some Saturdays on a rota basis. The role is to assist all visitors to the showroom, selling design-led tiles, bathrooms, and Claybrook paint, providing design advice and fantastic after-sales care. Suitable candidates must have proven retail or sales experience and a passion for design and decoration. Requirements: Excellent people skills and customer service standards Strong literacy and numeracy Strong IT skills, training provided on company systems Confidence, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to work well under pressure Ability to perform within a small team, yet take personal responsibility for clients and sales Desirable: Previous sales experience either with an interiors brand or high-end retail is preferred An Interior design qualification is an advantage but not essential Responsibilities: Actively selling tiles, paints, bathrooms Building relationships with private and trade clients to generate repeat business Front of house greeting and advising customers visiting the showroom Maintaining showroom samples and displays including restocking samples and unpacking sample deliveries Processing in-store and online sample requests and sales orders Answering phone calls and replying to online and store enquiries Providing clients with design and technical advice, preparing quotations After sales care, processing returns and collections Supporting other areas of the business when required, e.g. Commercial and Logistics teams Key Words:
