About Us We are currently looking for a sales consultant to join our fast-paced and ever-evolving business in our Redcar store. Matheson Communications Limited is a telecommunications franchise and holds five Vodafone stores in York, Scarborough, Bridlington, Middlesbrough, and Redcar. Working in a fast-paced environment with new product launches, ever-changing promotions, and advances in technology, we need someone with an eye for detail who is adaptable and can work under pressure. A passion for people and sales is a must, as you'll need the trust and buy-in of your customers and be able to work as part of a sales team. You will need: Effective communication skills The ability to plan and prioritize workloads A strong passion for customer service The capacity to grasp new concepts quickly The ability to multi-task and work under pressure Shrewd business sense and well-developed commercial awareness A desire to work as part of a team to generate fresh and innovative ideas. Responsibilities As a sales consultant, you will be responsible for: Making and increasing sales and ensuring efficiency Following the sales process end to end to ensure consistency and compliance Delivering world-class customer service Meeting your sales targets and KPIs each month Independent learning Analyzing your own sales figures Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring competitors. Experience Experience in sales is preferred but not required Retail experience is not necessary as we follow a structured sales process Experience in a regulated sales environment is preferred but not essential Working Hours Our opening hours are Mon-Sat 9 am - 5:30 pm and Sundays 10:30 am - 4:30 pm Your shift patterns will be across 5 days per week, working the store opening times to fulfill your 30-hour contract Weekend working is crucial due to our location on the high street We are open on all bank holidays apart from Christmas Day, Easter Sunday, and New Year's Day Flexibility is required for overtime and covering illness Salary and Benefits The pro-rata salary for this role is £18,720 based on a 30-hour contract (£12 per hour, £17.56 OTE) per year, with expected earnings between £18,720 - £28,720 Uncapped commission is a significant part of the package, allowing for potential earnings Company pension provided Fantastic staff discount Dedicated Employee Welfare Manager to support employees' welfare and mental health Opportunities for progression within the company Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: £24,960.00-£34,960.00 per year Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week Additional pay: Bonus scheme Commission pay Performance bonus Benefits: Company pension Employee discount Health & wellbeing programme Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability Experience: Sales: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 02/02/2025 Reference ID: MATHESONCOMMSM30
