Days and Times to be Discussed at Interview JOB OVERVIEW We are looking for a highly experienced senior sales professional, to join the business on a part-time basis as the Sales Director / Head of Sales. The successful candidate will be a strong, capable leader with a proven track record of delivering results in a Sales Director / Head of Sales role. Working as the Sales Director / Head of Sales you will be able to successfully motivate, drive and lead a sales team with expertise, coaching and mentoring, and developing sales target driven skills. Your primary function is to accelerate the growth of sales through existing and new channels. It requires a persuasive and well-organised individual, able to demonstrate the ability to direct and motivate a team and deliver excellent results. Your role will also involve collaborating with the managers to set revenue goals and company strategy, and to direct a sales team – partly office based, partly field based to implement a sales plan which will drive revenue growth. DUTIES Drive managers and teams to achieve targets for turnover, margin and net profit. Determine annual sales and margin plans by implementing appropriate strategies, analysing trends and understanding results. Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. Lead the Sales Team by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees; counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Have the desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technological culture. Ability to identify and solve issues strategically. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams. Work collaboratively and foster a culture of continuous process improvement. Drive the successful implementation and adoption of the sales strategies. Ensure reports and other internal intelligence and insight is provided to the organisation. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Experience in a sales driven Director role is essential. Experience in leading, motivating, and mentoring a sales team to exceed targets. Ability to nurture a results-oriented, collaborative, and high-performance culture. Developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans. Expertise in developing and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Can prepare reports and use the most appropriate mode of communication. Should be proficient at analysing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations. Has the ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines. Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems.
