The purpose of this position is to develop and profitably execute customer strategies and sales objectives for finished products and by-products; ensure key customer contract compliance; maintain good customer relationships and customer satisfaction; lead and manage the Sales and Customer Service team and manage commercial and market risks. Assist senior management in creating and administering policies by performing the following duties. Reports to the Global Vice President, Commercial. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Draft, negotiate and execute customer contracts. Maintain customer relationships by resolving issues and ensuring high customer satisfaction, using all the resources of the company. Develop new customer accounts. Coordinate with Raw Material Purchasing, Market Intelligence, Finance and Business Partner teams. Coach, train, develop the Sales and Customer Service team to ensure robust, sustainable, high-quality service at optimal cost. Support and contribute to an effective SnOP (Sales and Operations Planning) process. Develop and execute detailed objectives, targets and strategies. Gather and distribute market intelligence, including information on customers, competitors, regulatory environment, imports, trade associations, and other internal and external sources. Maintain and manage expense account records. Represent the company at industry association meetings and other functions. Participate in budget and business plan preparation. Manage and execute by-product sales strategies and agreements. Participate in creating and administering company policies, objectives, and goals. II. Requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills. 10+ years sales and management experience, preferably in the metals industry. Aptitude for financial and commercial analysis. Strong Excel and presentation skills. Ability to travel approximately 30%. B. Post Hire Training Requirements Environmental training applicable to the job. Safety training for applicable equipment. Job instructional training. Quality system familiarization. OHSAS 18001 familiarization, hazards and risks. III. Physical Requirements & Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
