Aquatic Engineering & Construction, part of Acteon Group, is a global leader in laying and retrieving flexible and semi-rigid products from the seabed in support of the renewables, oil and gas, and telecommunications markets. The company has a proven ability in shallow/deep water and extensive experience of off and onshore installations, transpooling, recovery, and decommissioning.

Aquatic is looking to hire a Sales Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Aberdeen, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for achieving business growth in the EMEA region through effective sales in conjunction with the Technical Sales Manager. The role holder will seek out sales opportunities and provide commercially attractive offerings while recognizing added value service offerings.

Duties & Responsibilities

Continually and actively present and market Aquatic’s services to existing and potential customers through direct communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, and emails with a view of growth of the business.

Communicate effectively on proposal status ensuring all Aquatic stakeholders have accurate updates.

Act as a key interface between customers and all relevant departments.

Establish and build effective and productive relationships with customers.

In conjunction with the Proposals team, ensure all proposals are delivered with a high level of customer satisfaction.

Support the development and use of the company Customer Relationship Management database and ensure it is kept up to date.

Manage and maintain reporting structure in line with agreed requirements.

Follow business development processes and identify any improvements that can be made.

Participate in Management Reviews and Regional reviews as required.

Ensure compliance with Aquatic’s Integrated Management System.

Requirements

Proven experience within a similar role.

Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.

Shows commercial understanding and acumen.

Contractual awareness.

Strong team ethic.

Familiar with standard office software packages.

Negotiation skills.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work on own initiative with excellent time and management skills.
