Sales Engineer – Emergency Lighting Division

Be the driving force as a Sales Engineer in the Emergency Lighting Division, playing a key role in sales growth and regional expansion, building a strong customer base.

Location: National with a focus on the South.

Salary: £85k OTE and a company car.


What you’ll do:

  • Shift the focus of sales conversations from pricing to the value you can bring by understanding your customers' needs and pain points, demonstrating how you can address those needs and deliver tangible value.
  • Build and execute your individual sales strategy and action plan for both short- and long-term success, networking with end users, consultants, and contractors while managing your opportunity pipeline to achieve sales targets across sectors such as Commercial, Industrial, Stadiums, Transport, and Education.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and other support functions to develop and implement sales strategies, building and maintaining strong customer relationships and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Continuously strive for improvement and exceed customer expectations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to adapt your sales strategies as needed.
  • Be data-driven, using data to draw conclusions and make recommendations to adjust strategies based on insights.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with relevant products, markets, and customers, including company demographics, pain points, decision-making processes, and key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, CRM, PowerBI, Internet search engines, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyse competitors' product offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
  • Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and electrical principles is beneficial but not mandatory.
