We are recruiting for a Sales Engineer to work on a permanent basis for a large, and well established, engineering firm based near Ashton-Under-Lyne.
Our client is seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong background in engineering/manufacturing.
Salary is c 33-38,000 per annum (negotiable, depending on experience) plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company bonus, pension, healthcare, career progression opportunities etc.
Duties/Responsibilities for the Sales Engineer:
Analyse and interpret engineering data from diverse customers to determine manufacturing requirements.
Break down technical specifications to identify the necessary manufacturing disciplines.
Engage with external suppliers as needed, ensuring timely delivery through effective expediting.
Manage and track customer inquiries and project progress using a CRM system.
Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns to deliver competitive pricing to customers.
Develop and present detailed submission documents for client proposals.
Collaborate with the team to fully understand and meet customer requirements.
Sales Engineer Profile:
Strong engineering background with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
Commercially savvy with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision.
Adept at working collaboratively within a dynamic, customer-focused sales team.
Motivated, team-oriented, and capable of handling a fast-paced workload.
Proficient in IT, particularly with Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools.
