The successful candidate will be responsible for key account management with major customers and new business development for valve products and solutions such as actuators, ball valves, butterfly valves, gate/globe/check valves, globe control valves, and safety relief valves in various industries across the North East UK via distribution and OEM channels.

Ideal candidates will have experience selling mechanical engineering products such as valves, actuators, steam solutions, pumps, rotating equipment, compressors, process machinery, machine tools, or similar products. Full product training provided.

Package: £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience Bonus Car 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme Additional company benefits

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Role: Managing key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers of valve equipment in various industries including oil, gas, petrochemical, power, and water. Managing and growing existing relationships as well as business development for valve products across the North East UK. Maintaining sales with demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiations to achieve targets. Working closely with the Valves service department to ensure excellent after-sales service. Completing product selections, preparing quotes, and following up on quotations and projects. Fully remote position covering North East UK with occasional visits to the office near Hartlepool. Liaising with various engineering departments.

Requirements:

Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, UK Sales Manager, or similar role selling mechanical engineering products. Proven sales background within valves-related products and/or solutions is preferred. Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable valves manufacturer. A technical mechanical engineering or instrumentation qualification (Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, or degree) would be advantageous. Full clean driving license and willingness to travel across the North East UK.
