Competitive, based on experience (£35,000 - £40,000) Overview: We are looking for an experienced Sales Estimator to lead the growth of our client's Bespoke Metalworks division. This role combines sales expertise with technical know-how, focusing on preparing accurate cost estimates and driving new business in the metal fabrication and installation sector. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for metal fabrication projects based on specifications and drawings. Generate competitive tenders and proposals, ensuring timely submissions. Manage client queries, follow-ups, and quotation amendments. Perform take-offs from drawings and consult with clients on project specifics. Identify new business opportunities and develop a strategic sales plan. Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business. Track and improve estimation processes, collaborating with marketing for brand visibility. Requirements:
5+ years of experience in estimating, ideally within architectural metalwork. Proficient in reading architectural/engineering drawings and knowledge of building regulations. Strong sales and closing skills, with experience pricing based on drawings and specifications. Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office and project management software; CAD experience is a plus. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
