Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our long-standing manufacturing client with their search for a Sales Estimator.

Overall Purpose: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sales Estimator to join our clients commercial team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates for customer projects, providing competitive pricing, and supporting the sales team in achieving revenue targets. You will work closely with multi-site and international technical, production, and procurement teams to ensure that project specifications are met whilst maximising profitability and customer satisfaction through effective decision making for optimal manufacturing.

Key Duties: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs, clarify technical requirements, and propose appropriate solutions. Liaise with internal stakeholders, and where necessary suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and external services required for bespoke projects. Analyse project specifications, technical drawings, and customer requirements to generate accurate cost estimates for expanded metal mesh and fabricated metal products. Maintain thorough documentation of all cost estimates, including assumptions, data sources, and calculation methods. Strong customer and sales focus, ensuring service levels to internal and external customers are maintained and constantly improved. Maintain records of estimates versus actual costs for ongoing improvement in accuracy and efficiency. Participating in project review meetings when appropriate. Work with multi-site production and engineering teams to refine manufacturing processes for improved cost-effectiveness. Adopt existing systems of work whilst also developing and cascading new methodologies and improved workflows for optimal project management.

Key Requirements: Ideally be familiar with laser cutting, metal fabrication or pressed metal processes within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading technical drawings or specifications in order to accurately scope customer requirements. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Tenacity, confidence and resilience to work under pressure and deliver. Ability to present estimates clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong IT skills, particularly within ERP and Microsoft Office 365.

The Package: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience. 26 days holiday + 8 bank. Company pension scheme. Health insurance. Bonus potential. Further training/development opportunities. Additional benefits.
