is requested to work in a busy organisation on a permanent and hybrid role located in the Alton area. We are looking for an experienced and driven Account Manager to manage and grow existing key accounts. This is a customer-facing sales role that combines account management with some new business development. The position requires a balance of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and strong customer relationship management to drive business forward. You'll be the first point of contact for customers, working closely with both internal teams and external distributors to deliver tailored solutions to clients. Key Responsibilities: Account Management:

Oversee and manage key customer accounts, providing ongoing support and identifying opportunities for growth. Sales Enquiries:

Respond promptly to all incoming sales inquiries through various channels, including phone, email, and trade shows. Lead Generation & Prospecting:

Identify and target new potential customers, ensuring a consistent flow of opportunities. Product Advice & Support:

Provide expert advice to customers on product selection, collaborating with engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions. Quote Preparation:

Prepare and deliver accurate quotes for products and services, ensuring clarity in pricing and technical specifications. Sales Process Management:

Progress sales opportunities through the entire lifecycle, from initial enquiry to order placement, ensuring smooth order processing. Collaboration with Teams:

Work closely with in-house teams, including engineering, operations, and purchasing, to ensure smooth execution of customer orders. CRM & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities within CRM systems, tracking progress towards sales targets. Customer Relationship Management:

Ensure customers are kept informed about order statuses and product availability. Exhibitions & Trade Shows:

Attend industry events and trade shows to promote products and network with potential clients. Export Compliance:

Liaise with government departments for export licenses when necessary. Skills and Experience: Technical Sales Background:

Previous experience in technical sales, preferably in the electric motor or related engineering sectors. Product Knowledge:

A good understanding of electric motor systems and their applications. Sales & CRM Systems:

Experience with MRP/ERP systems (preferably Insight123) and CRM systems (preferably Zoho). Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Sales Experience:

Proven track record in achieving sales targets, with the ability to sell via phone and email. Technical Acumen:

Strong understanding of engineering processes and product solutions. Software Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint). Additional Qualities: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small team environment. Strong initiative and self-motivation to drive sales and business growth. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
