Experience in logistics sales, especially serving the Belgium, German and Dutch markets. Iberian market is also a distinct advantage. Be self-motivated and driven. Ability to generate sales leads and achieve sales goals. Be an effective negotiator at all levels. Prepare and give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients. Visit clients, both existing and potential. Prepare management reports. Help determine price structures and tariffs towards clients, including quoting clients and follow-up calls. Co-ordinate sales and marketing efforts. Finalise/close deals including client set up, customs formalities, and credit terms. Maintain client records and build good rapport with clients and suppliers, including handling customer complaints and retention. Commit to excellent customer service. Be competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Attend all relevant trade seminars, exhibitions, and networking opportunities. Perform competitor analysis to establish market levels. Be prepared to travel within the UK and abroad as necessary.
