Sales Executive

Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding Offering a salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience. Additional benefits plus a car allowance and bonuses. Based in Leicestershire, but this will be a field-based position. We are working with a leading Freight and Logistics organisation who are seeking a Sales Executive to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be experienced in General Freight Forwarding, but will need to have a focus in Air and Sea, across both Imports and Exports. Our client is based in the Leicestershire area, where applicants will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of 1 day per week, with the other days being out on the road visiting new, potential and existing clients. A monthly car allowance will be provided for this. You’ll be working alongside established inside sales and customer service teams to seek and hunt new opportunities, building strategic relationships. Duties & Responsibilities: Generate and secure new customer accounts within an assigned territory. Conduct sales presentations, producing tenders and proposals for new business. Monitor and report on current developments in the market, as well as information on potential customers. Create customised logistics solutions for complex customer needs. Represent the organisation at industry trade shows and networking events. Ensuring all rate tariffs are up-to-date with industry trends, ensuring maximum profit and little loss. Required Experience: Experience in an outside sales position, with a proven ability to secure new business. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Strong industry knowledge of multimodal operations, with a focus in Air and Sea, across both Imports and Exports. Valid driving licence with the ability and flexibility to travel and be on the road.
