As a Senior Business Development Manager (hunter) you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth across diverse sectors. We're looking for a proactive, proven resourceful, and dynamic individual ready to create demand and generate excitement for our platform and services. This role is ideal for an experienced business development professional with a strong track record in payments or fintech. You’ll develop market opportunities across the UK and Europe, helping our prospects to unlock & expanding local Acquiring in key Asian ^ European markets and understand how to better serve their complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and immerse yourself in target sectors and verticals, identifying strategic business opportunities that align with client growth goals.
- Lead end-to-end business development cycles: from identifying medium to large merchants, as well as Enterprise opportunities to diagnose payment needs, negotiating commercial terms, and guiding merchants through compliance to integration.
- Partner closely with Compliance to ensure all processes meet regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Product Management to innovate and influence their product roadmap.
- Work with Marketing to build a pipeline and enhance the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Engage with the Integration team to ensure a seamless onboarding and Go-Live experience.
- Leverage your expertise to manage complex, high-value deal cycles and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Take on a leadership role in a fast-growing environment, managing both strategic and operational tasks, from complex relationship-building to due diligence and documentation.
What You’ll Bring
- 5-10+ years of experience in Business Development, ideally within Payment Orchestration platforms, Acquiring platforms, PSPs, fintech, or other payment technology providers.
- Deep knowledge of the eCommerce/omni channel landscape and a strong passion for fintech innovation.
- Skilled in written and verbal communication and proficient in building financial models and pricing proposals.
- A knack for managing cross-functional stakeholders internally and externally, across both technical and non-technical areas.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with the resilience to navigate the fast-paced, evolving nature of sales in a growth-oriented company.
- A focus on process improvement, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to stay organized and composed through ambiguity.
