Sales Ledger and Billing Officer

who will play a key role within our established finance team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the Group achieves cash collection targets and minimises debts of concern. This will be achieved by the of robust management of the sales ledger and billing function on a set area of the sales ledger, as well as providing support to the Credit Control Manager. Key responsibilities Raising sales invoices in line with customer invoicing terms to pre agreed systemised billing set up Raising free text invoices for one off re-chargeable costs Chase local authority accounts for payment of invoices and deal with queries Allocate cash received against ledger Manage queries with regions and customers. To work closely with Polaris region/home when invoicing customers and have proactive query resolution skills. Reduce current debtor days on ledger to agreed target, per customer, per region To be effectively and efficiently organised and maintain concise communication records. To ensure that we are invoicing for all services delivered on region / home managed. Requirements The ideal candidate must have the following skills and experience: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to network at all levels Proven proficiency using Microsoft Word packages The ability to meet strict deadlines on time, every time Experience within a similar role and chasing Local Authorities for payments Experience of using Access or similar integrated system If you're interested in this role, please apply and we'll be in touch.
