Our client is a leading and forward-thinking organisation offering a range of construction-related services including Waste Management, Material Supply, and Equipment Hire services. They provide a centralised hub that offers their construction customers (both residential and commercial) the most comprehensive services, tools, and materials for their construction sites. Due to continued growth of the organisation, they are now looking to create the role of a Sales Manager. The role of a Sales Manager will be to manage the internal sales team as well as respond to inbound enquiries usually from the website or calls coming into the offices. The responsibilities include: Oversee the quality and compliance of the sales team and their orders to empower the customer journey and achieve excellence. Take on escalated queries for team members to reduce the amount of time away from the desk, putting focus back on selling. Lead by example by being fully compliant with all company processes and procedures, helping to guide the team to reach these same standards at all times. Assist with the onboarding process of new team members, directing and coaching individuals to succeed in their roles and become subject matter experts. Lead sales team performance through regular reviews and coaching to achieve departmental targets. Ensure that absence levels are monitored and recorded in line with company guidelines, following all policies in place. Speak with and qualify domestic and commercial leads to convert enquiries into orders. Ensure that all leads are contacted and qualified within their service level agreement. Promote and live by the company values every day, know your best self and lead to create leaders. The Candidate: A minimum of 1 year of experience managing an internal sales team. Ability to commute to their offices in Loughton Monday to Friday. Highly capable of managing different workloads, organising daily structures, and comfortably delegating tasks. Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills. Confident in communicating over the phone and email with potential prospects and customers. Tech-savvy and comfortable working with CRM solutions and software tools. Team player who fits into their culture and lives by their company values.
