A sector-leading electronic technology company is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join their 'Power' products team. This is a UK-wide sales role where you will be supporting existing customers and working on potential new ones. Your home location is open, but the ability to use the motorway network with ease is required, so living in central England would be ideal.

As Sales Manager, you will bring your existing knowledge and skills in the electronics 'Power' sector to maintain and generate further sales with current and new customers through your team and your own work.

The days of visiting multiple companies face to face each week have changed, and more is now completed by telephone, emails, and virtual meetings, but face-to-face meetings are still held when needed. This is a technical solution backed sales process rather than just product selling, and you will be the technical interface between the customers and the engineering, manufacturing, and project management departments.

Responsibilities of Sales Manager: Identify new customers and sales opportunities to maintain and build sales revenue. Research customer specifications and requirements against company products. Create, monitor, and update lead generation plans to generate potential sales pipeline. Liaise between customer and company for specifications, drawings, production schedules, quality control demands, and packaging requirements. Compile reports on customer contacts, sales opportunities, and activities within assigned accounts. Keep CRM system fully up to date.

Required experience / qualifications: Have extensive sales experience, preferably in a B2B technical sales environment. Knowledge of selling Power-related products in the electronics sector. Educated in a technical discipline (ideally HND or degree level in an engineering field). Successful sales development experience. Professional work style with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills required. Ability to travel by car to see clients, attend exhibitions, and attend team sales meetings. You have probably held roles with similar titles such as Technical Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or Territory Manager.
