Our client, a leading manufacturer in the Sheffield area, is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to join the business on a permanent basis to aid with continued growth across their Fabrication and Machining products. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working within a Sales or Business Development role, generating new clients and workflow, and managing client enquiries from estimating, technical discussions, bid management through to closing the sale. Candidates MUST have experience with Medium to Heavy Fabrication/Machining to be considered for the role given the nature of the work. Experience in Nuclear, Defence, Rail, or Power Generation is highly advantageous. Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Responsibilities

In conjunction with the Leadership Team, establish Sales & Marketing objectives to maintain existing sales, achieve market penetration, and increase profitability in all targeted sectors. Ensure pricing is competitive and up to date, with a clear understanding of its position in the marketplace, including market share, and maintain and develop a competitor analysis database. Be actively involved in the development of existing/new products, taking into account existing and future customer requirements and selling features. Research and analyse all new product development/Investment requirements to ensure alignment with existing and future customer technical and market trends. Provide advice to the Directors on achievable growth across all market sectors and product groups. Effect market penetration by developing plans to increase earnings from core products and the development of new products. Lead and promote all sales & marketing activities, including digital marketing and social media. Ensure plans are in place to determine how to beat the competition over the next 3-5 years. Qualifications & Requirements

Demonstrable experience in Sales/Business Development within a Medium to Heavy Manufacturing environment. Experienced in seeing quotations through to close of sale. Strong working knowledge of Fabrication/Machining. Excellent communication skills. Strong organisational and planning skills. Strong leadership skills.
