SALES MANAGER - TIMBER MERCHANT Job Description Our client is a leading Importer & Distributor of Timber and Timber Products. Due to expansion, they are seeking a SALES MANAGER to lead and develop their Sales Team to promote their high-end Timber and Timber Products. This role requires an experienced SALES MANAGER with comprehensive knowledge of the Timber / Merchant UK Markets and a desire to develop & grow sales through existing & new customers. Reporting to:

SALES MANAGER , your role will be to oversee the day-to-day management of your Sales Team, ensuring they achieve sales targets and volume. You will be responsible for proactively driving sales growth by continually building and maintaining relationships with exciting sectors including Contractors, Manufacturers, Joinery Companies, Fit-out Companies, Shopfitters, and the Construction Sector. Key Responsibilities of SALES MANAGER Drive sales to ensure that your Team achieves sales targets, volume & margin targets Staff training & development Stock Management Liaise with supply chain team & suppliers Quoting and costing customer requirements Understanding customer needs and requirements, researching accounts, and identifying key players Maintain & expand your database Create monthly reports for the Management Team Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required of SALES MANAGER Face-to-face selling and negotiation skills Experience within the Timber / Timber Products Strong presenting skills Self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision Effective communication skills Customer-focused with sound commercial skills Good IT skills & PC literate with experience in Microsoft Outlook Location/Area:
