Role Overview: The role will be responsible for the sales & marketing functions of this market-leading business and will own and deliver the strategy with a heavy focus on growth. Will lead a team of 16 and will be accountable for key P&L targets whilst delivering a roadmap for innovation alongside the Head of R&D. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and enable long-term customer partnerships personally and within the team. Responsible for mapping the product portfolio against the market and devising a 3-5 year strategic roadmap for products/customers of the future using strategic toolkit (cluster analysis, segmentation, business model canvas). Devise improvement and innovation in all aspects of the sales fulfilment cycle, with a heavy focus on AI-based customer journey enhancement and revenue growth. Deliver sales targets for volume, price, and contribution with individual key customer account responsibility. Accountable for assessing the commercial viability of opportunities and providing appropriate insight to the board of directors in aid of effective strategic decision making. Design, communicate and execute marketing strategy into target organisations whilst embedding all aspects of marketing into the sales function. Effective internal cross-functional communication for international customers involving Product Managers, Sales Representatives, R&D and other appropriate functions. Responsible and accountable for contract review, compliance, and liability management. Responsible for drafting commercial contracts to inform a “win-win” approach with partners whilst maintaining profitability goals. Conduct performance appraisals, provide coaching and guidance to direct reports. Uphold and lead company core values of Collaboration, People, Sustainability, Integrity and Innovation. Responsible for cross-functional management of company principles as a senior leader within the business. The role will require regular domestic and international travel. Candidate Profile: An MBA graduate with a bachelor's degree in a subject related to Engineering/Science or other numeric-based degrees. 7+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management/senior business development role at a manufacturing company preferably polymeric or industrial components. Proven experience of field sales experience across various customer profiles (distributor, OEM, SME) and internationally. Evidence of commercial decision making is a must. Very strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to negotiate across various seniority levels with demonstrable experience. Ambition to become COO/CEO and having a personal roadmap in place is an advantage. Experience of LVHV manufacturing environment is a plus. Demonstrable depth and breadth across the entire marketing discipline is a must. Experience in operational management, R&D or CI is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of financial and accounting practices. Prepared for international travel. Proven track record in developing strategies, implementing and driving plans and managing budgets. Experience in Semi-Con, Medical Component, Hydrogen and Electronics is an advantage. Able to coach and nurture all team members. Able to form a strong working relationship with the Group Board.
