Consilium Recruit is proud to be partnering a global leading engineering group in their recruitment for a Sales & Marketing Director. Heading up the European sales operations, you will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities across the range of industrial sectors and mentoring and developing a team of sales professionals.
The Role
Develop and implement the industrial sales strategy in Europe.
Work with key stakeholders in developing a clearly defined sales strategy.
Lead, and direct the sales team in the identification, development & sustainability of customer accounts.
Establish challenging objectives to meet growth strategy and target new business within both existing & developing markets.
Work closely with all multiple site operations on new customer opportunities.
Define, implement and monitor the Product & Marketing strategy.
Review and manage contract requirements.
Develop and mentor the sales team.
Identify key skills of team members to enable them to perform effectively and efficiently.
Ensure that all reporting requirements are completed in an accurate & timely manner, with a focus on streamlining processes.
The Candidate
Proven demonstrated leadership success in a technical sales environment.
A good understanding across range of industrial sectors.
Working knowledge of financial principles.
Natural leader with the ability effectively lead, coach and engage with people internally and externally.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
Can do attitude, with a determined and positive outlook.
Excellent negotiator.
Strong strategic planning and organisational abilities.
