Key Responsibilities: Prospect and generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals. Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential customers. Engage customers in meaningful conversations to understand their requirements and preferences. Effectively monitor and manage outstanding debts. Product Knowledge and Consultation: Develop a deep understanding of our timber products, their features, applications, and benefits. Collaborate with the Company Director to create and deliver personalized quotes and proposals to clients, tailored to their specific needs. Partner with the Company Director to engage in negotiations for terms, pricing, and contract agreements, ultimately securing successful sales deals. Relationship Management: Build and maintain a strong network of contacts within the timber industry and related sectors. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and post-sale follow-ups promptly and professionally. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing and timely delivery. Market Insights and Reporting: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive offerings. Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to sales management. Participate in sales meetings and contribute ideas to improve sales strategies. Monitor and Maintain Inventory Levels: Regularly oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock maintenance. Stay informed about stock quantities across the wider market environment. Qualifications: Proven track record in sales, preferably within the timber industry or related sector. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish rapport quickly, build trust, and maintain long-term customer relationships. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset. Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
