We are now recruiting a Sales & Reservations Coordinator, covering London and supporting Scotland and Belfast. ABOUT THE ROLE The Sales & Reservations Coordinator will oversee and execute reservations, group bookings and event bookings across the region as required with a view to maximising bookings in all units to achieve budgeted revenue. Regularly optimising all bookings with continuous improvement of yielding of tables, spaces and private hire areas whilst ensuring clear and open communication between customers and the venue to ensure efficient delivery that goes above and beyond expectation on customer experience. What's it all about: Respond to all online and telephone customer enquiries for the region in a timely manner Ensure all promotional packages are correct and promoted at the point of enquiry Regularly discuss bookings and customer requests with the local operational teams to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth running of bookings Direct any additional or specific requests to the local operational teams, tracking all customer communications Ensure effective communication to all customers regarding key booking issues such as cancellation policy, pre-order process, deposit requirements Ensure customers are correctly guided through their booking in a timely manner Ensure a consistent programme of customer aftercare to collect feedback on guest experience Escalate any customer complaints to the appropriate operational team Using guest booking notes, increase sales by identifying needs. For example, upselling champagne for a special birthday celebration Identify opportunities to cross-sell Glendola Leisure businesses. For example, in the event one venue is fully booked, encourage booking at another venue. Recognise opportunities to increase sales and utilise systems to convert leads into confirmed bookings Where appropriate work independently and with third parties to increase function bookings such as stag and hen events, birthday parties and celebrations Provide updates to the local operational teams on any system changes Attend training on booking systems, developing a deep understanding of their capability. Provide frequent reports to operational teams and Senior Management teams on bookings in a timely manner Work cohesively with the Central Sales team based in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow to deliver excellent customer satisfaction as a team Support the wider Central Sales team with the wholesale retail sale of Gordon Street Coffee, our small-batch coffee producer and roastery. Networking with local businesses and proactively promoting and selling our venues and function spaces What we looking for: The right candidate is self-motivated, and an excellent communicator with great organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in booking platform technology. Good understanding of who and what the individual businesses in the Glendola estate are and operationally what each of them offers and how they can be flexed (full training and induction will be provided). There may be a requirement to visit individual units from time to time.
