Description We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Technical Architect with extensive experience in Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud as well as Energy and Utilities Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the energy industry and a proven track record of leading transformation projects in a B2B environment, specifically targeting Industrial and Commercial customers. Reporting to the Head of Architecture, the Salesforce Technical Architect is accountable for supporting the Salesforce Development Pods with solution advice, assurance and solutions to the technical requirements of client's product set within the Salesforce footprint. Responsibilities Develop and implement scalable and robust technical designs for Salesforce solutions tailored to the energy and utilities sector. Create blueprints of Salesforce application designs, ensuring they align with business objectives. Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in Salesforce development and integration and assuring the outcome of these solutions. Develop efficient and effective solutions that meet business requirements. Leverage knowledge of the energy industry to design solutions that address specific challenges and opportunities within the sector. Lead and manage technology aspects of transformation initiatives in the Salesforce arena; ensuring successful delivery of projects aimed at improving business processes and customer experiences. Ability to see strategically what elements are needed to bring about the strategic Smartest landscape and shape the Salesforce elements of this target landscape. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions. Experience Expert level experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, Energy and Utilities Cloud (Industries, previously Vlocity), Omniscript, Data Raptors, Experience Cloud, CPQ and CLM. Experience of the Salesforce Ecosystem for energy including lifecycle management, contract signature (Docusign or equivalent), Pricing and Onboarding. Extensive experience of Integrations between Salesforce and both modern and legacy applications and understands event-driven architectural patterns. Ideally has some elements of hands-on experience and can assess technical fitness of development and deployments in Salesforce. Can make best practice recommendations for build and management of our Salesforce org. Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in the Salesforce context. In-depth understanding of the energy industry, including regulatory requirements and market dynamics ideally in B2B and ideally in C&I customers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels and skilled at influencing, guiding and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making and drive stakeholders towards a common vision. Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple large transformative projects on the go. Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Energy and Utilities Cloud Consultant, or equivalent are highly desirable. Ability to understand the long-term strategy ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. Collaborative approach to work, with a desire to work closely with other departments across the organization.
