We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Technical Architect with extensive experience in Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud as well as Energy and Utilities Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the energy industry and a proven track record of leading transformation projects in a B2B environment, specifically targeting Industrial and Commercial customers.
Reporting to the Head of Architecture, the Salesforce Technical Architect is accountable for supporting the Salesforce Development Pods with solution advice, assurance, and solutions to the technical requirements of SmartestEnergy’s product set within the Salesforce footprint.
How will I spend my time in this role?
Develop and implement scalable and robust technical designs for Salesforce solutions tailored to the energy and utilities sector.
Create blueprints of Salesforce application designs, ensuring they align with business objectives.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in Salesforce development and integration and assuring the outcome of these solutions.
Develop efficient and effective solutions that meet business requirements.
Leverage knowledge of the energy industry to design solutions that address specific challenges and opportunities within the sector.
Lead and manage technology aspects of transformation initiatives in the Salesforce arena; ensuring successful delivery of projects aimed at improving business processes and customer experiences.
Ability to see strategically what elements are needed to bring about the strategic Smartest landscape and shape the Salesforce elements of this target landscape.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features and industry trends to continuously enhance the solutions provided.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
Salesforce Expertise: Expert level experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, Energy and Utilities Cloud (Industries, previously Vlocity), Omniscript, Data Raptors, Experience Cloud, CPQ and CLM.
Experience of the Salesforce Ecosystem for energy including lifecycle management, contract signature (Docusign or equivalent), Pricing and Onboarding.
Extensive experience of integrations between Salesforce and both modern and legacy applications and understands event-driven architectural patterns.
Has ideally had some elements of hands-on in their career and can assess the technical fitness of development and deployments in Salesforce.
Can make best practice recommendations for build and management of our Salesforce org.
Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in the Salesforce context.
