SAP Procurement Specialist

to join our team on a fixed term contract for 18 months. This is a pivotal role for the business and key role in leading the SAP rollout for procurement in our rapidly growing business in Glasgow and Sunrise. Helping to drive transformative change and contributing to the continuous development and evolution of our procurement function this is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference. The main responsibilities of the role are: Oversee the deployment and configuration of SAP Procurement. Maximize SAP Capabilities by identifying and implementing opportunities to fully utilize SAP's capabilities. Provide training, support and guidance ensuring ongoing expertise. Analyse current procurement processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend SAP solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Lead the deployment and configuration of SAP procurement modules for Glasgow and Sunrise operations whilst playing an integral role in ensuring they align with the company's procurement strategies and objectives. Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of procurement data within the SAP system. Oversee data migration, cleansing, and validation activities. Provide training and support to end-users, helping them to understand and effectively use the SAP procurement system. Develop training materials and conduct workshops as needed. Train at least one super user in both Glasgow and Sunrise to ensure ongoing support and expertise. Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Finance, Planning, Warehouse, Manufacturing and IT teams, to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with overall business goals. Generate reports and provide insights on procurement activities, helping to inform decision-making processes. Utilize SAP's reporting tools to create custom reports and dashboards. Ensure all procurement activities comply with business goals, internal policies and external regulations. Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement processes. Manage projects related to SAP procurement initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Identify areas for cost savings, improve supplier performance and enhance procurement processes to drive overall efficiency and effectiveness. The successful candidate will possess: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., SAP certification) are a bonus. Proven experience as an SAP Procurement Specialist/Consultant, with a strong track record of successful SAP procurement implementations and optimisations. In-depth knowledge of SAP procurement modules (e.g., SAP MM, SAP SRM). Proficiency in SAP configuration, customisation, and integration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse complex data sets and derive actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively. High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness of work. Experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
