Position Overview Owner of CRH Europe’s strategic SAP templates which are centrally managed. Responsible for support, improvements, projects, and roadmaps for these templates. Leads the central SAP centre of excellence, responsible for hiring, developing, motivating, and coaching the internal team and supplementing them with relevant 3rd party support. Manages relationships with SAP (licensing, QA, etc.) and other key partners. Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role, you will: Act as the owner of the centrally managed SAP templates, ensuring they are professionally managed as strategic template assets. Own the SAP roadmaps, ensuring the templates develop appropriately reflecting business demands and SAP’s product development strategy. Provide innovative suggestions and thought leadership on how more value can be extracted from our SAP solutions/investment. Provide subject matter expertise to managers/leaders on SAP topics such as project evaluations, acquisitions, divestments, etc. Accountable for the delivery of timely and quality SAP changes/enhancements/configuration as part of both individual demands and projects. Accountable for the delivery of timely and quality SAP support services. Lead, develop, and motivate the SAP centre of excellence team, ensuring that the appropriate capacity and capability is available to deliver on agreed priorities. Ensure the SAP templates are managed in a controlled & compliant manner. Manage the relationships with SAP (regarding licensing & other matters) and other partners such as 3rd party application support providers. Key Functional Competencies You possess the following: Broad functional and technical knowledge of SAP, S/4 an advantage. Business process awareness/knowledge, ideally in building materials. Ability to develop a clear and compelling vision and sell/communicate it. Team leadership including direction, motivation, coaching, hiring, etc. Vendor management with SAP and application support providers. Experience / Education You are/have: Degree/Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Multiple years of experience leading a SAP centre of excellence. Multiple years working with SAP, S/4 experience an advantage. Experience in delivering SAP implementations/upgrades. Experience of working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
