Satellite Communications Integration Lead Employment Type : Permanent Location : Corsham area, with 2-3 days onsite per week Salary : £65,000 – £80,000, plus additional benefits

Position Overview The Satellite Communications Integration Lead will oversee the integration of advanced satellite communications (SATCOM) program activities, coordinating project development from design through to operational delivery. This role requires a strong technical background in satellite systems, systems engineering, and lifecycle management, with a focus on ensuring successful implementation and transition into service. This is through an IT consultancy that works specifically with public sector organisations.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Strategy Development : Plan, develop, and maintain integration roadmaps for SATCOM projects to meet program objectives.

Coordination and Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, project, and program teams to ensure cohesive, cross-functional project delivery.

Risk Management : Identify and address technical risks, develop mitigations, and escalate issues as necessary.

Governance and Compliance : Ensure all integration efforts adhere to governance protocols and project requirements.

Essential Qualifications

SATCOM Expertise : Proven experience in managing integration activities for large, complex satellite communication systems, including ground, management, and user segments.

Systems Engineering Knowledge : Strong grounding in systems engineering principles, especially in test, verification, and acceptance processes.

Stakeholder and Technical Leadership : Effective in stakeholder engagement, SME management, and maintaining technical direction within project teams.

Security Cleared

Desired Qualifications

Government Procurement Experience : Familiarity with MOD procurement and project requirements, including knowledge of Defence Lines of Development (DLODs).

SKYNET and ITEA Knowledge : Understanding of SKYNET systems and experience in Integrated Test, Evaluation, and Acceptance (ITEA) activities.

Hands-On Project Delivery : Practical experience in testing and delivering network management, RF systems, and capability upgrades.
