Role:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced SCADA Tester to join a large ongoing Utilities programme where you will be responsible for the security, efficiency, and performance of critical
power infrastructure .
Key Responsibilities:
5+ years as a SCADA tester. Test and validate SCADA systems for power generation, transmission, and distribution. Ensure system reliability, stability, and cybersecurity for power grid operations. Analyze and troubleshoot communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3) and data flow in real-time systems. Develop and execute detailed test plans for power system automation and control. Work closely with power engineers to address system vulnerabilities and optimize performance.
Key Skills/Knowledge: Proven experience with SCADA systems in power utilities or energy sectors. Deep knowledge of power distribution networks and reliability requirements. Expertise in testing control systems, automation, and industrial communication protocols. Familiarity with power grid cybersecurity standards and best practices. Scripting or coding knowledge (Python, VB, etc.) for automation of test cases is a plus. Consulting background. Strong communication skills (oral & written). Rights to work in the UK is a must (No Sponsorship available).
