Scenic Fabricator
On Event Production Co. is seeking an experienced Scenic Carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in fabricating and delivering high-quality scenery, stage sets, exhibition stands, and custom furniture for various projects. Working in our workshop and on-site, you'll collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to ensure the delivery of outstanding craftsmanship, meeting project deadlines and maintaining our high standards of safety and quality.
Main job responsibilities:
Fabricate and build scenery, stage sets, exhibition stands, and furniture based on designs and specifications.
Work closely with the fabrication team to plan resources, tools, and timelines for each project.
Ensure all workshop tasks are completed to a high-quality finish and within specified timeframes.
Assist with the installation and breakdown of scenic elements on-site, ensuring client satisfaction.
Maintain a safe and organised workshop, managing tools, materials, and stock.
Adhere to company Health & Safety regulations, completing required documentation.
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure the smooth running of projects both in the workshop and on-site.
Essential Skills:
Proven carpentry experience with strong practical skills in fabrication.
Understanding of set, scenery, exhibition, and furniture fabrication materials.
Good knowledge of the safe use of power and hand tools in line with Health & Safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a client-focused approach.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Desirable Skills:
Experience using CAD software for scenic design.
Forklift truck licence and a valid driving licence.
