School Attendance Officer

Attendance Officer Temporary Until August 2026 Outwood Academy City Fields is an 11-16 academy based in the friendly cathedral city of Wakefield. The Academy was rated Good by Ofsted in March 2022. We joined the Outwood Family of Schools in 2018. Excellent teaching and the highest standards of behaviour are at the heart of everything we do, and we champion innovation in all aspects of learning. We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Attendance Officer who can work in a fast-paced environment, providing operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies, improve attendance levels, and reduce persistent absence in line with Academy targets. You will work closely with our Education Welfare Officers and our Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in ensuring school compliance. You will also be a key liaison point between a range of agencies and the academy. Key Responsibilities: Provide operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies. Improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence in line with Academy targets. Work closely with Education Welfare Officers and Senior Leadership Team. Ensure school compliance and act as a liaison between various agencies and the academy. Minimum Requirements: Excellent communication skills. Organised, energetic, and able to remain calm in a busy environment. Strong IT skills specifically in Microsoft Office and Google.
