School Care Worker Location: Christchurch Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience) Start: Immediate Contract: Full-time / part-time

School Care Worker

to join schools in Christchurch. This role is essential for providing tailored care and support to students with additional needs, ensuring they thrive in their educational and personal development.

As a

School Care Worker , you will work closely with students who require extra assistance due to their individual needs. Whether it's academic, emotional, or social support, you'll be there to ensure every child feels valued and confident. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

School Care Worker Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group care to support students' needs. Assist students with personal care tasks, always ensuring dignity and respect. Help students access the curriculum by providing tailored assistance in lessons. Implement strategies to manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment. Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to develop and review individual care plans. Monitor and document students' progress, offering feedback to staff and families. Encourage the development of life skills, independence, and confidence in students. Support students during activities, breaks, and school outings to ensure their safety and engagement.

Qualification & Skills:

Previous experience in a similar role as a School Care Worker or working with children/young people is highly desirable. Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health and Social Care, or similar, are advantageous. A patient, compassionate, and understanding approach. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and behaviour management strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
