School Cover Manager

role. Your role will be to organise supply needs each day and help with various administrative tasks. Academics seek an individual who is not afraid of hard work and can easily adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. This ambitious secondary school in Cardiff has high standards and strives for excellence. This is a Monday to Friday role with working hours from 8 am to 4 pm. This long-term role starts on the 4th of December 2024 and will run until the Easter break. If both parties are happy, the school may look to keep you on either temporarily or permanently. This rewarding role is perfect for someone who is looking to make a difference for students and school performance. Roles and Responsibilities (School Cover Manager):

Managing and organising cover for absent staff. Organising and providing induction and support for supply staff. Ensuring that safeguarding requirements and other relevant regulations are in place. Communicating with SLT and office staff to assess school needs. Liaising with external stakeholders (e.g., parents, supply agencies). Approving agency staff timesheets. Proactively chasing specific information needed from senior leaders and staff. Discreetly handling confidential and sensitive information. Benefits (School Cover Manager):

Experience in an administrative role (education setting only). SIMS (School Information Management Systems) experience. Strong communication skills (including excellent written and verbal skills). Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook). Desirable Skills & Qualifications (School Cover Manager):

Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree. Valid DBS (This check can be produced through us if needed).
