School Finance and Business Manager Permanent - term time hours Client Details As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all company administration, including HR, finance, facilities, and procurement. You will be working for a school with an excellent reputation and outstanding results. You will be responsible for the delivery of operational management, support services, and lead on the development of school policies and procedures. This role is ideal for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to get involved with projects and any ad hoc work, and experience in reviewing budgets and offering guidance and advice to non-financial staff members. Description Duties and tasks of the School Finance and Business Manager: Part of the senior leadership team supporting the organisation's growth strategy Management of payroll processes ensuring rates of pay have been calculated and submitted correctly Maintaining personnel files, absences, and sick leave Bank reconciliations ensuring all invoices are reconciled correctly Controlling the company budgets, cash flow, and forecasting to senior management Ensuring all company health and safety files are monitored correctly Procurement administration and ensuring best value for money on purchases Liaising with governors, parents, teachers, and local authority representatives Profile To be successful as the School Finance and Business Manager, you will: Have the ability to lead and run weekly and monthly meetings with senior directors, shareholders, and the leadership team Be experienced in HR, payroll, and finance administration Have a background as a Business Manager, Operational Manager, Office Manager, Finance Manager, or similar Enjoy working in a varied role as no two days will be the same Job Offer What's on offer: Working with like-minded people who are invested in the local community A company that values its people and goes above and beyond to support their workers Leadership development opportunities Full-time hours during school hours and off work during school holidays Local government pension scheme (20% employer contribution)
